Concluding Competition “Startup Making a National Social Impact 2023”

On March 26, 2023, at Campus-K, Hanoi, the final round of the competition Startups Create National Social Impact 2023 was held, the teams were startups in universities and small and medium-sized enterprise groups in provinces across the country. The competition is part of the series of events “Smelling Startups Creating National Social Impact” organized by the Village of Technology Creating Social Impacts, the National Centre for Creative Startups Support, the Centre for Startups and Social Innovation of the National University of National Economics; the International Institute of Economics and Law and Campus K Ventures.

Dr. Duong Thi Kim Lien, Director of the Institute for Innovation Support, Head of the Social Impact Technology Village at Techfest, and expert in supporting SMEs, delivered a speech about the final round of the competition.

The final competition was attended by a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises, students from a number of universities in Hanoi. The 2023 National Social Impact Startup Competition is aimed at supporting the space of interaction and promoting creative innovation in action, employment and technology search, sharing the world’s technological science trends on environmental technology, ecology and human health and issues related to sustainable economic and social development for Vietnamese startups, including a number of environmental technological enterprises participating in compliance with the Environmental Protection Act 2020.

After a month of registration (02/02/2023 – 03/03/3023) more than 120 teams registered and more than 30 counsellors accompanied the program and a week of Training for the top 10 in Round 2: Boot camp, the Jury selected the five best teams to advance to the Final. The top five teams in the final are: Talehu; Hasu; Integrated Education; 9 Pixel; Chinhxac.vn. The winning team is the Hasu team with the health care platform for the elderly in the context of the harsh weather, etc.

Hasu’s team has the opportunity to collaborate with start-up funds, investors and enterprises in many sectors, participating in the Campus K Ventures startup ecosystem. 

The competition is a playground for exchanges, connecting holding teams and seeking opportunities for collaboration, raising funds from dozens of funds to participate in the program and receiving the support of Campus K Ventures.

In addition, the Vietnam–Korea Business Tour gives the participants the opportunity to meet leaders of Seoul City, Seoul Startup Centre, Korea Trade Promotion Agency, Vietnam Business in Korea and other companies in the same field. This is the reward for the best ideas.

Environmental companies discuss and seek cooperation opportunities.

The competition is also an opportunity for partners to implement the program, enterprises to interact, connect to promote their image, brand through forms of sponsorship and partner with the competition organizer to find opportunities to cooperate and grow together. At the end of the competition, all teams received gifts from the sponsors and especially a tree seed as a message of the Organizing Committee is to create and cultivate, together to build a medium and small green business community in action, in the workplace and everywhere at all times, sustainable socio-economic development.
