SEACO and the Hanoi Association of Women of Small and Medium Enterprises (HAWASME) had a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos.

On November 3, 2022, Dr. Dương Thị Kim Liên, Director of the Institute for Business Innovation Assistance (IBIA) and Deputy Director of Seaconsult Joint Stock Company, along with a delegation from the Small and Medium-sized Women Entrepreneurs Association of Hanoi, paid a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos.
The event was attended by the Consuls General of Vietnam in Laos, embassy staff, and representatives from Vietnamese agencies alongside the embassy.
Overview of the visit
On behalf of the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos and Vietnamese agencies alongside the embassy, Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung warmly welcomed and received the participating members. They engaged in discussions regarding the assessment of economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. Ambassador Hung mentioned that currently, some large Vietnamese enterprises have plans to invest and do business in Laos.

During the conversation with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, Ms. Dương Thị Kim Liên expressed her hope that in the coming time, the leadership will have policies to enhance the effectiveness of business activities, export of goods, and expand cooperation within and outside Laos. She emphasized the need to facilitate solutions, act as a bridge to help Vietnamese enterprises investing in Laos and Laotian enterprises investing in Vietnam to implement projects on schedule and with quality. She also emphasized the importance of promoting trade between the two countries, especially in key sectors such as seafood, agricultural products, and consumer goods.
