The seminar “Entering the Singapore Market: Opportunities for Vietnamese Food Enterprises” held on the morning of April 18, 2023, at the Central Guest House Hall – No. 8 Chu Văn An, Ba Đình, Hanoi, is one of the activities financially supported by the Hanoi People’s Committee through the center.

Ms. Dang Thi Huong – Deputy Director of Hanoi Business Support Center, Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment gave the opening speech

Singapore is one of the leading financial and commercial centers in Southeast Asia. It is currently one of the most attractive markets for investors and businesses worldwide. Vietnam, with its developed agriculture and significant potential for food production and processing, has not yet fully leveraged its advantages. This seminar helps our businesses gain an overview of the Singapore market, the demand for imported agricultural and food products, brand development strategies, market entry strategies for international companies, and international e-business support programs for food enterprises.
The seminar “Entering the Singapore Market: Opportunities for Vietnamese Food Enterprises” provides information from various perspectives, including market insights, strategies, investments, and support resources, to connect food enterprises in Hanoi with the Singapore market and potential partners. Organized by the Hanoi Business Support Center in collaboration with Seaconsult Joint Stock Company (SEACO), the seminar aims to help businesses better understand the food market in Singapore. The event attracted over 100 delegates.
Exporting agricultural and food products is no longer the exclusive domain of large enterprises. Today, small businesses can confidently export their products worldwide by collaborating with potential partners and intermediary markets. Singapore, as Asia’s financial hub, the export gateway of the ASEAN region, and a consumer market that accepts high-quality, high-priced products, offers numerous opportunities. Additionally, Singapore has many private investors and potential investment funds, providing producers with business capital. Through Singapore, many Vietnamese products have reached major buyers and connected with export markets in the EU, the US, and beyond.
Experts presented on “Overview of the Market, Singapore’s Import Demand, and the Trade Situation of Agricultural and Food Products between Vietnam and Singapore” and “Vietnam-Singapore Innovation Investment” by Mr. Nguyễn Trung Kiên, Chairman of the Vietnam-Singapore Innovation Investment Fund (VNS).
At the seminar, Mr. Ken Bay, CEO of VOS Consulting, a Singaporean expert in business development strategy, inspired attendees with a presentation on the principles and importance of establishing, implementing, and adhering to standard processes in business, specifically with Singapore and in high-end export markets in general. He also discussed “Business Development Strategies in Singapore.”
